A day before.. there was an on the spot poem writing competition...
For this competition, Smriti Ma'am, a new English teacher in the school was given the responsibility for my house. Smriti ma'am is a very sweet and nice person. Initially I refused but in the end, somehow she was able to convince me to participate. I cannot and could not negate her. This is the first poem 'I' have ever written. trust me I never thought of doing such a thing but just because of her, I tried... So, the moral of the whole story is this, the first ever poem written by me is dedicated to Smriti Ma'am and one of my favourites and the best English teacher-Amarjeet ma'am....

BLISS IS......

A feeling, in this beautiful world
a lovely feeling,
which is soothing and healing
for this heart who is the strongest
at times the weakest
organ of a god's silly creation...

A feeling which finally make
this ever perturbed and fake
mind, relax with ease
and rest in peace
so as to ponder things well
and prepare for the next silly reaction...

A feeling which results
in a smile on a face
which add colours even to a pale base
that spreads love and serenity,
called divine in 'terms' of humanity...

A feeling which arise
early morning, when the sun rise
doing away with all the responsibilities and tension
Sun- the god of energy and action
hand us over hope to uprise...

The feeling which intend
when a big problem comes to an end
or its a pleasing news we hear
which makes us fly high and high

First of all its a BIG SORRY to all my dear readers.... For not updating it...

But right now I m really very happy.....

A long and a difficult time of my life is finally left behind....

And now i realise that this period which i called very difficult has given me a lot to learn...

I can now understand that FORGIVING is really important...We should return LOVE against HATRED.... Because WE love ourselves even after doing many mistakes, then how can we hate others for their one mistake??Seems Strange but True...

And now its time to just be happy and keep smiling all the time....

Some people are responsible for making one's life beautiful...Similarly, even my life has certain people who have become so important to me that now my life seems to be incomplete without them....Some people are actually very special in one's life and their presence becomes inevitable....This is a message for the ones I really love and Thank from the bottom of my heart for making me smile all the time....

Being SINGLE is always fun, no worries. no misery, no pain..... but what if we have some worries, pain and misery?? What if we are in a situation where we feel like having SOMEONE who give their shoulders for when you are crying... Someone who looks at you and says"You look beautiful today".... SOMEONE to hold your hands in theirs and say"I am here with you always"....SOMEONE who hugs you tightly and says"Miss you.. take care" ; And that SOMEONE is the one who loves u you a lot and say these golden words " I love you" ............ Then why do people say being SINGLE is fun?

So, even if you don't love anyone, at least let SOMEONE love you!

And..Last but not the least ...

Every test in our life makes us BETTER / BITTER.

Every problem comes to MAKE US / BREAK US.

Here! my dear readers.....
I remember long back... I recited this beautiful poem in one of my recitation competitions, my english teacher got this to me.... I am sorry but the name of the poet is unknown....

This poem is actually about the life of a 'Girl', how she turns from a small child to a lady.... cursed on each and every step of her life by the people.... She is sorry for she was born a Girl...She is silent all the time though sad... and defeated..................

SHE

The moment she was born

A deep sadness descended on her frame

Joy and laughter did not welcome her
Only a sigh and a deep regret
of her parents' distress
Told her she was born a Girl.

As she grew up she was so good
outstanding in every class
Be it dance or art
But she heard no encouraging remark
As her father had to say,
Its no use, she is to get married one day
And she was sorry she was born a Girl.

When she got married she expected a quiet life as a dutiful wife
But none was greatful for her daily labours
All they did was to curse her again
For giving birth to a baby girl

When her husband was alive, she was a lonely wife
After his death she led a lonlier life
Her miseries multiplied into plenty
All she had was treachery.

Dowry system....A social evil

Introduction

Here.... I am talking about a very much prevalent and a dreadful social evil.... DOWRY System. It has been huge problem in India and has been a great problem and source of embarrassment and disturbances in most parts of our society...

Dowry actually is a cultural system where the parents of the bride give away some money, expensive gifts to her so that in case of lack of resources she can lead a comfortable life ahead after marriage. Historically, this system was willingly followed by the parents of the bride in many parts of the world, but now at many places (especially in India) it is it is being forcefully asked for. Earlier the system was prevalent only in the wealthier families but now unfortunately the greed of dowry has struck to most ordinary families and has become an unspoken demand for marriages.

It is true that a young man may require financial support to settle comfortably in his life and to fulfill other needs, but it should not be a reason to ask for dowry and to spoil the life of a girl if both the girl and boy are capable in all the ways to earn and settle with a comfortable life. Gifts that a girl gets from her parents home should solely be their wish and there should be no pressure to spend more while marrying their daughter. There are many instances when a wife commits suicide, because of her helplessness to tolerate the harassment for dowry. There are many instances when a wife is murdered because her parents were not able to give enough dowry. This murder is usually made like an accident. Stop violence against women! Legally, dowry is a banned practice in India but still happens all over the place. Many sensible and educated youths have gone against the idea of Dowry and they simply have a noble intention of marrying the without taking any money. Surprisingly, these days the ladies are themselves very much interested for huge amounts of dowry. Firstly the promise of all the marriage arrangements and then the huge amounts of dowry make the parents financially very weak and because of dowry system, people no longer prefer having a baby girl in India.

Dowry law in India
Dowry was prohibited in 1961 under Indian civil law and followed by Sections 304B and 498a of the Indian Penal Code. Individuals involved in dowry can be sent to jail for 6 months to 3 years. This includes husband, Father-In-Law, Mother-In-Law or any other relatives or non-relatives found guilty. It can also include fine. But if a murder is committed then there is at least a 7 year or life in prison, plus fine.

People contact police, media organizations and women liberation outfits to get maximum attention and this way ladies misuse this law by accusing boy’s family wrongly for dowry because of some personal tensions. This becomes very problematic for the family who faces.

Lastly I would just say that like I am strictly against this practice of dowry every one of us should join hands and remove this social evil from our society……

Exams are over by now and I am loving this time now....
After it is all over I can realise that why I was going through such a stressful time for so long....
I think all this happened bcoz i missed my classes whatever the reason may be like I wasn't well I had to take leaves, i had to give some more time to my tennis practices and third and most importantly I was overconfident as I was told that class 11th has to be taken lightly and this made me less serious...
Dear readers any class is niether very light or very difficult, it only depends on the way you take it. Pleasure activities are all the more important, it is just that we should give separate attention to both the things and everthing becomes simple(- or complicated) so it is only we who decide how to take this. I have realised the importance attending all the lectures in the class. One has to be both mentally and physically present in the class coz this actually make things easier to go through and then learn at home. It is just that i never faced such a stress and ne'er studied so much at home.... And by this I can judge my performance has also gone down this time. The reason is when you can understand things in the class the only left task is to read it once at home and you will find everthing already 'imprinted' in your minds. I think this is one of the best methods of stress management, even meditation helps a lot..... try this you'll definitely find this useful.

Yes, This is what i am feeling right now. God somebody help me!!!!!!!!
I am not getting time for anything. At nights when i sleep the mathematical and accounting problems are just revolving in my mind. Even at nights I am busy solving questions in my copies the roots, trigonometric identities, cash books, journals etc etc. it is a long list and you know what this is the time when I feel like doing lot many new things. I have numerous creative ideas bulging in my mind.I think this is what happens with almost every student (like me i.e. who study in the last days of the exams). I just wanna say SORRY to all my dear blog visitors for not updating the blog hereby.

“Why Study For Exams.... Are they not about what you know, not about how much you can cram into your head the night before?”

This is what everyone here 'suffering' from Exam Fever should read again and again. Just read it and console yourself because this is what one can do at the extreme moment.

But they say,

“Those who do not study are only cattle dressed up in men's clothes”

So, at the end we have to study whatever may the situation be. One thing we can do is that just think about the time when the exams are over and its a party time for everybody coz this is what i do and the time passes away happily ever after.....

Child Labour.. A Social Evil..

One in these days I saw some child labourers, one was a house maid, the other one was a sweeper and the third one was doing a job of washing utensils and clothes in a restaurant. My heart brimmed with tears when I saw their condition. With a heavy heart when I asked them for why they didn't go to study, "Who will work and earn money for the livelihood of my family?" they said.

The ever increasing problem of child labour is not only cruelty against children but also a black spot on our nation's face. Though many countries boast of being superior from one another but in many of the developing countries like India, the problem of child labour is still prevalent.

People sell their children for money, they are treated as slaves. Population play a lead role in the rise of child labour. People should understand if giving birth to more children means more helping hands, it also means more mouths to feed. In large but illiterate families children are forced to work. They are badly exploited. They are given more and more work but are underpaid. Most of the times, the working conditions are hazardous which make them vulnerable to various health problems. Poor they are, their childhood which is the most happening phase of ones life is spent like this……

To control this problem, various measures should be strictly adopted not only by the government but also by the common man. The one who keeps a child as labourer should be strictly punished. Awareness programmes such as street plays or counselling of the poor and illiterate may contribute further.

I think most of us feel the same... Please make others also feel this and control child labour... Today the power lie in our hands, it is just we have to seek the right way to use it…

The Right To Information Act...

One in these days I was reading about one of the most recent and important right of the citizens of India i.e. The Right To Information Act.
A common man, while dealing with Government departments was facing with problems such as cumbersome process, faulty procedure, mismanagement of records, uneasiness even in paying govt taxes to the govt.With a view to bring transparency in the functioning, to create a sense of responsibility amongst the govt. officials right from grass root level up to the top decision making level, to uproot the corruption ,THE RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT, is in force, which is likely to be proved a very useful tool in the hands of citizens to get their grievances against the govt. redressed , in a time bound manner.Now citizens are enjoying the fruits of real democracy, by asking the questions from any government organisation easily and more frequently, for which the citizens were dependent on our elected representatives. Any type of information which the govt. or govt. funded/controlled institutions are supposed to have can be demanded by any citizen from anywhere in the country, without disclosing any reason for seeking the information.
As A Social Audit!
The queries, under this act, may bring in the lime light, the acts of omissions and commissions, including cases of harassment, inaction, undue favour, corruption, abuse of power by the officials of govt.Therefore, this way it works as a SOCIAL AUDIT. It facilitates the well informed citizen to live with dignity and contentment.
Towards A Negative Aspect!
Since, the citizens have the freedom to ask any query from the govt. and its respective funded or supported organisations, many times people misuse this right. Just for small inquiries many kinds of confidential secrets are driven out which leads to many undesirable events.Moreover, it becomes very inconvenient for the govt. organisations to take out and give away such important documents and informative history of that particular body.

Gautam Buddha

These days I have been reading on Gautam Buddha, in his respective biographies. While reading about him, his life, and his doings I really found him an inspiring character.

Buddha means 'the enlightened one'. And Gautam Buddha was one of the greatest religious teachers that the world has seen. His teachings expounded in Buddhism, are immensely popular in Burma, China, Japan and other South Eastern Countries.

Talking about his early life……….Siddhartha was made to lead a very sheltered life as the astrologers had predicted that he would give up worldly pleasures to follow a different path. The King wanted to avoid this at all costs and so did not let him out of the palace. He hoped that Siddhartha would one day become king.

When Siddhartha had grown into an intelligent young man, he ventured out of his palace one day, and chanced on a few sights that changed the course of his life. He first saw a very old man who could barely walk, a sick man who was in a great deal of pain, and lastly a corpse. He had never been exposed to pain before, and so these sights had a deep effect on him. His servant explained that pain and death were inevitable.

All these sights disturbed him and he went out of his house, leaving all the amenities of life in the search of truth and the end of pain and misery. When he went through many people who were following the same path, he himself concluded that when one follows a midway between very easy or happy going life and very harsh and painful life, we can overcome all desires which are the root causes of grief and misery.

For 45 years, Buddha spread his message of a spiritual life. He did not believe in rituals but pointed to an 8 - fold path towards salvation - that of right speech, understanding, determination, deeds, efforts, awareness, thinking and living. Even in the contemporary world which we call modern, live on the discriminatory bases of rich or poor or castes etc. Whereas as he at those times taught us to live a life of equality where none was inferior or superior. He taught us to be non-violent and the path of peaceful life, he said the life is a gift of god to everyone and none has a right to take it away accept for god. Though being purely non-violent Buddhist path affected people of this religion with miserable happenings in their lives when they could not save themselves from the attackers especially in the areas at the borders of Pakistan and Afghanistan which had a strong hold of Buddhism. Now these areas are totally Muslim and Buddhism is completely wiped out. What is left there is violent Taliban who recently broke the sacred old and preserved statue of Gautama Buddha.

Anyway, The Buddha died in 483 BC at the ripe age of 80 years, after successfully spreading his message to the world. Buddhism still lives and has a strong following in various Asian countries.

Md. Rafi..

For those people, who don’t know Mohd Rafi, I would like to quote that he is the only legendary singer in Indian Film Music. Following is about his life, his birth, his singing career etc..,

Rafi was born on 24^th December 1924 in Kotla Sultan Singh, Amritsar, in a middle class Muslim family. His elder brother, Janab Hamid Sahab, was the first to take notice of the divine gift in Rafi’s voice. He decided to concentrate all his efforts in providing all the support needed by his brother to make it big in the music world.

At the age of seven, Rafi learnt Hindustani Classical music under the renowned Ustaad Bade Gulam Ali Khan and Vahida Khan.

Mohd Rafi started his career at the age of 20, with a punjabi song, Soniye Hiriye, teri yaad ne bahut sataya for the movie Gul Baloch, which was released on 28^th February, 1944.

K.L.Saigal & Pandit D.V. Palusker had no words for Rafi’s praise. When Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated, Rafi sang a song Suno Suno Ay Duniya Walon, Bapu ki Yeh Amar kahani written by Rajinder Krishan and music by Hunslal Bhagatram, which touched everyone and was a great hit.

No singer at that time or even now in this era,can match Rafi. Rafi’s singing style was so unique, nobody could imitate it. Even if they tried, they were not successful. His verstality was very different and way too impressive. His contemporaries were either ineffective in this front or were unwilling to compromise.

I am one of greatest fans of Md Rafi. I just love his voice.The versatility in his voice is commendable. Both ways as a person and a singer he is the best.I have never attempted to compare him to anybody because I know as far as his voice and the art or style are concerned, he can never be compared with any other singer. Even Lata I think lacks behind somewhere in that versatility and the happiness or sadness he inject into our ears while singing is simply enthralling. His patriotic, religious, ghazals, romantic, sufi, or any other kind of songs are mind blowing. I mean I feel he was perfect as a singer with almost no attitude in him. On the other hand he was a great badminton player and none could beat him in this game in the whole industry. A great god gifted man with a smile on his face all the time did not live for very long and lost many opportunities to receive many awards for his talent and contribution.

All this was about his singing career. But as a person, he was much more. Rafi did not imitate any one nor did he stop any one from imitating him. Where there was cut-throat pressure, Rafi was always totally with himself. Through out his career Rafi has not been accused of anything. Nor did he stop any new singer from taking his position. He was such a whole-hearted person, who would agree to sing for producers who couldn't afford him in return to nothing. Listening to Rafi is like rowing down a river in a moonlit night.

Healthy mind is wealthy. To maintain good health, one should be mentally and physically active. Mind only gives order to the body so that mind should be positive in thinking. This helps in right kind of attitude in life.. When mental health is lost, everything is lost. Unless mind is active, however physically a person is strong can not achieve well in life so health is a condition of mind. Mind and body are interrelated and so one should take care of good mental status to keep good body condition of health.
Body and mind are related in maintaining good health.
Body itself is designed by the mind
Age of the body has no connection with youthfulness and it is the state of the mind.

Today I had a burial of my dead.
There was no shroud, no coffin, and no pall,
No prayers were uttered and no tears were shed
I only turned a picture to the wall.

A picture that had hung within my room
For years and years; a relic of my youth.
It kept the rose of love in constant bloom

Jackson donated and raised millions of dollars for beneficial causes through his Heal the World Foundation, charity singles, and support of 39 charities. Other aspects of his personal life, including his often changing appearances and eccentric behavior, generated significant controversy that damaged his public image. Though he was accused of child sexual abuse in 1993, the criminal investigation was closed due to lack of evidence and Jackson was not charged. The singer had experienced health concerns since the early 1990s along with conflicting reports regarding the state of his finances since the late 1990s. Jackson married twice and fathered three children, actions which caused further controversy. In 2005, during People v. Jackson, Jackson was tried and acquitted of different sexual abuse allegations and several other charges.

Michael Jackson died of cardiac arrest on June 25, 2009, at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California His personal physician, Conrad Murray, says he found Jackson in bed, not breathing but with a faint pulse, and administered CPR to no avail. Initial reports indicated that Jackson died one hour after receiving an injection of pethidine (Demerol), a painkiller to which his friends say he was addicted. Murray has said he did not prescribe or furnish Jackson with Demerol.

His death triggered an outpouring of grief around the world, creating surges of internet traffic and causing sales of his records to soar. He had been scheduled to perform 50 sold-out concerts to over one million people at London's O₂ arena, from July 13, 2009 to March 6, 2010, which he had implied during a press conference would be the last of his career.

these were enough to get your attention on this article. Why is our attention so religiously devoted to the life of celebrities whose actions and behaviour is in no way related to us? Why our existence come to depend on whether Ranbir Kapoor is dating Deepika Padukone or not? Surely SRK is cool and you want to copy him, but you know how much he had struggled to become what he is?Why not copy that?
On 15th August 1947, India got independence due to selfless efforts of all those brave men and women who fought for our independence, without their efforts we would not have been able to see the sun shining on the face of free India but how much do we care about it? It is all a boring lecture for us.And it no more makes a difference to us! But imagine if these freedom fighters could rise from their graves and see you and I, the youth of our country dancing to the tunes of shakira and catching the next flight to USA or Australia if given a chance, wouldn't they go back to their graves with a strong feeling of shame? Is Mahatma Gandhi called the father of nation because of his cool sense of dressing or his designer footwear and for all the brands he endorsed?
Therefore what we need to realise is that there is more to life than just movies, masti and magic.
We have started living life in such a way that we have forgotten what living life is all about. we have become nothing more than dummies or guinea pigs of i-pods, music, movies, clothing lines, mobiles, cars and shoes and what not.
The strings of values, tradition, love, emotions and respect are growing weak.Sensitivity and sympathy is considered a weakness and not an asset. Apart from school al the activities in which we engage in resolve around disks, partying and hanging out... What is a teen without his own car or his own cell phone....

WAKE UP PEOPLE!! You are just 16 or 17!! The next time you make a face just because of what your mother has cooked for dinner just think of the millions of children who would be sleeping empty stomach that night. The next time you crib about your dad for not increasing your pocket money just think of those who do not even have a dad.

Of courseit is important for us to move with the times and we are doing a great job out of it but it is more important to be in touch with what you are born with. A tree which does not know roots will never be able to stand up straight. Stop living in ignorance and be aware , of more than what is going on TV tonight.

When a man asks GOD to give him everything so that he can enjoy life, then GOd has only one answer that he has given you life to enjoy everything....

E-Club , CRPF PUBLIC SCHOOL

So, my first blog entry will be the introduction of E-Club.
Ok so let me start with what ‘E’ in the ‘E-CLUB’ stands for, E= Education + Expression – Ego; as suggested by the founder of the club. The basic idea of our school’s e-club is ‘Together To Gather’. This theme was really liked by me. I found it really interesting; this actually means that we all are here together to gather or share all our thoughts and points of view with others i.e. firstly everyone has a different opinion on a single topic so we can put it in front of the others so that all the aspects of that topic or point becomes clear to everyone, secondly we can debate upon a point and hence gather more information with us and thirdly whatever one of us have come to know about, can be shared with all who are not known of that particular thing and this way we can make ourselves and others exposed to many new things of this vast and endless universe. Our e-club wants to introduce unconventional ways of telling conventional things. It is a platform which provides freedom to explore and learn…Courage to experiment, to innovate and to do things differently has been our driving forces. This e-club under ‘together to gather’ have published a journal ‘BLACK BOARD’, in which we introduce many of our innovative ideas in a presentable manner to publicize our thoughts of e-learning. On 18th may’09 i.e. our school blog’s (http://crpfpsrohini.blogspot.com) first anniversary we, the members of e-club had our first meeting, in which we were introduced to all the aspects of our e-club, e-learning etc. In this meeting all of us (the members) introduced our ideas and ways of promoting this kind of education and learn more and more amongst ourselves. In this very successful meeting we discussed upon the ideas of our journal; all the members were glad to know that this journal opens an opportunity to publish our own articles in it. We were glad when we came to know that we’ll learn endlessly as we were “Together To Gather”. We were told that we cannot and do not need to miss any of our regular classes while working with the e-club. At the end we were happy as we knew that now we have an opportunity to enjoy learning in a bit different manner which will be different from our regular routine lives.
